IMS Law College organized an event on “Promotion of Education & Hygiene” under “Village Adoption Campaign”. A group of 28 students accompanied by 6 faculty members and Dean Dr K S Bhati, Prof. & Dean-Law paid a visit to Yamuna Khadar Village, Purana Pantun Pul, near Mayur Vihar, as a part of ‘Village Adoption Campaign’, a noble initiative taken by the IMS Law College, Noida. It involved educating underprivileged children from rural areas of Delhi NCR about several social, economic and legal issues prevalent in the society, so, as to make them a responsible and informed citizens of India.
The students were divided into 5 groups and mentored by our faculty members to guide them on the following issues:
1. Health and Personal Hygiene.
2. Right to education.
3. Hazards of open defecation.
4. Global Warming & climate.
5. Civil Rights of citizens as provided in the Constitution of India.
The faculty members also highlighted several socio-economic issues before the children and educated them about their constitutional rights. On behalf of the IMS Law College, the children were distributed stationery and items related to personal hygiene such as soap, shampoo sachet etc. The children also took a pledge to observe health & hygiene life style.
