A skit is a short, usually dramatic performance with a message to convey. It is both a visual and sound experience where we can see the reaction of the audience immediately. It is alive and ephemeral.
To bring out the flair of the students and to spread the message of humanity, BBA Department, Institute of Management Studies, Noida organized the Skit competition “NATYA MANCHAN” on 1st October 2016 for the BBA students. All the plays selected had very interesting script to imbibe human values in the students. They dealt with the issue of discrimination of girl child in our society, Hostel life, compassion being more important than winning in life etc. The students acted naturally, meticulously and perfectly.
It was a visual bliss to watch the students perform on the stage confidently with appropriate props. The collaborative efforts and hard work of all the faculty members and students was evident as the students performed brilliantly on the stage.
Skit Competitions do not only strengthen ones’ confidence to face the audience but also helps in developing awareness about our surroundings and the daily happenings. Young learners are the best messengers to spread the awareness of the social and global issues and their voice do leave an impact on ones’ mind. Management students presented skits on the social issues which are not only thought provoking but can be made awareness prone, to eradicate them completely from our country. Students were full of liveliness and enthusiasm and gave their best. They were more interested to raise the social issues with which they can help everyone understand the real face of the society.
