Live Accommodation

The Hostel at IMS has different accommodation facilities for girls and boys of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Conveniently located, hostellers do not have to travel long distances after a day of hard work and studies. These hostels are an essential component of the life at this institution. In addition the hostel life allows students to interact with their colleagues and peers, make friends, and develop into good human beings capable of independent judgment and coping with the day-to-day pressures of life. Some students may leave their homes for the first time and they can be reassured these hostels would eventually turn out to be a home away from home!

Room allotment is done in such a way that students from different parts of country freely intermingle with each other depicting national integration. Each room in every hostel has a chair, a study table, a cot, a fan, a bulb connection, two plug points and two shelves.

In IMS Hostels 24X7 security facility is provided in both of our hostels and take special care in regard to security at girls hostel. A full time warden is there in both girls and boys hostel to look after the students and their problems. We have the facilities of Sick room facility at hostel in case of any emergencies with some first aid facilities. We have some renowned doctor's on our panel that can be referred in case of sickness or illness. We have tie-ups with different hospitals for check ups when needed and ambulance can be called in case of emergency.

From the security point of views especially for girls, we are coming up with the girls hostel inside the campus that will be functional from August 2008. All the standard facilities will be provided in the hostel like common room, sick room, Power Backup, Meeting room, store room etc. along with Wi-Fi facility.

The support staff is available in hostels to facilitate students and make it as comfortable as possible. Allotment of rooms may not necessarily be of one's choice. It is at sole discretion of the administration, which may allot the rooms either on first come first serve basis or depending upon the courses. Management intentionally places students of varying academic, cultural social, national backgrounds together so that cross cultura academic, social, national learning is achieved. Students ar expected to give full respect and equal rights to their roommates irrespective of their varying backgrounds.

Smoking and Consumption of alcoholic drinks and use of narcoti drugs is strictly prohibited. Number of recreational, sports literary and social activities take place in the hostel during th academic year. A few rooms in the hostel are used for commo facilities. Students can relax in the evenings or on holidays o spend their leisure time in the Common Room, which is equippe with a TV, newspapers and magazines. One half of the Commo Room houses a Table Tennis (TT) board, chess and other indo games as well.

The hostel management team manages hostel mess. Extra care i given on hygiene and health factor. Weekly feedback is taken fro all the students about the food, menu and hygiene. The men includes vegetarian food only. Food served is a good mix of item from other regions to caterto different tastes.
